CIBSE is spearheading a new campaign to encourage businesses to take action and have a go at reducing their building's carbon emissions over a short time period.
Starting on 5 June, the 100 Days of Carbon Clean Up campaign encourages any measures to reduce carbon emissions - from promoting behavioural change in staff, such as encouraging them to turn off lights and computers, to recycling and using hot water heaters rather than kettles.
Organisations who sign up will receive an action pack containing a ‘How To' guide and a measurement tool. To join go to www.cibse.org or e-mail: 100dayscampaign@ cibse.org.
CIBSE installed David Hughes as its new president on 5 May. Hughes set out aims to tackle climate change and carbon emissions, as well as discussing future solutions that professionals will need to embrace in order to become ‘engineers for life'.
