CIBSE event exposes threat of EPC middle-men

Delegates at the ‘Measure it to Manage it’ seminar held last week as part of CIBSE’s 100 Hours of Carbon Clean Up Campaign expressed concerns that the costs were being inflated by agents adding a mark-up to accreditation assessment fees.

The delegates were advised to be wary of this growing number of internet-based handing agents, as many are unlikely to have a full understanding of the EPC process, making it harder for assessors to obtain the correct information needed to produce the certificate.
