The Centurion four point locking system from Kenrick, window and door hardware manufacturers, has gained Secured By Design (SBD) accreditation.

SBD is the UK police initiative which supports the principles of designing out crime by using effective crime prevention and security standards for a range of applications. It demands that licensed products must be tested to show that they work as a security device and provide a realistic level of resistance to criminal attack.

Accreditation was awarded to Kenrick’s Centurion system because it comfortably meets BS7950: 1997 (the requirement on windows for SBD).

Centurion benefits from steel shootbolts, a robust unhanded die-cast gearbox, adjustable mushroom cams and a night vent.

Available in backsets of 20mm and 22mm, the system also exceeds the corrosion requirements of BS7412.

Kenrick has such confidence in Centurion that it offers its own security guarantee.
