Innovative and enduring architecture from the 1960s onwards will be featured
Nottingham Trent University is hosting a touring exhibition of modern architecture which showcases 50 outstanding East Midlands’ buildings from the last 50 years.
The university will stage the RIBA Fifty Buildings 50 Years exhibition from 31 January to 11 February..
The exhibition began in August 2010 and will have visited 11 venues before it commences a tour of county shows in May and June 2011.
Innovative and enduring architecture from the 1960s onwards will be featured, revealing how architectural creativity is shaped by context, place, culture and the social and political trends of the time.
The event, being held in the university’s Newton building, includes modern classics, buildings of character and innovation, and some of the latest in contemporary architectural design.
