Yorkshire-based design-and-build contractor PDR Construction has appointed three directors: John White is promoted to procurement director, based in Hull; Paul Burke is promoted to commercial director, based in Leeds; and Jonathan Wormald joins the company as development director, also based in Leeds.

Warwickshire-based Pettifer Estates has appointed Nick Norbury senior project manager.

Mike May has been appointed executive director of Southern Space, a new development company set up by Southern Housing Group.

Garry Silsbury has joined TPS, the design and project management division of Carillion Business Services, as associate director, aviation planning.

International property and construction consultant Davis Langdon has recruited four members of staff to its Norwich office: Andrew Warman and Ryan Brough join as project managers and Crispin Cockman and Paul Harrowing have been appointed senior project surveyors.

Architect Stride Treglown has promoted Gary Milliner, Dan Van Luttmer, Darren Wilkins and David Knight to divisional directors. Karl Hutchison, Robert Delius, Caroline Hurrell, Anthony Walsh and Simon Trew become associates.

John Miles, chairman of the global consulting sector at Arup, has been elected to serve on the executive board of construction industry body CIRIA.
