Firm’s contract wins last month include share of Hinkley Point C enabling works and Highland Main Line project
Bam Nuttall has surged to the top of the overall contractor table after securing four civils wins in October worth £295m in total.
The contractor’s wins last month included its £101.5m share of the £203m contract awarded to a Bam/Kier joint venture for enabling works at Hinkley Point C, as well as a £180m win for the Aberdeen to Inverness part of the Highland Main Line rail project in Scotland.
Bam was the only contractor in the top 10 to have won any civils work in October.
Top of the contractor table excluding civils was Morgan Sindall, which bagged 60 contracts last month worth a total of £242m.
Most of the projects won were in the commercial sector, where the contractor picked up £224m worth of wins, including a £60m deal to build a biomedical research building in Cambridge.
Morgan Sindall’s haul for October took it to second behind Bam in the overall contractor table.
Kier moved down to second in the table without civils and third overall after securing 42 contract wins worth a total of £179m, with £132m of public sector wins and £47m in the commercial sector.
Galliford Try was third, and fourth overall, after securing three contracts in October totalling £143m, including a £130m hospital job won via the ProCure21+ framework.
Mace, Willmott Dixon and Vinci pack out the middle of the top 10 with wins in the public sector.
Mace won six contracts in October worth £90m, with £70m coming from public sector wins.
Willmott Dixon won £89m worth of contracts, while Vinci bagged £84m, with both firms securing £60m in public sector wins.
Skanska edged into the overall top 10 with two wins worth £78m, including a £69m contract on a mixed-use scheme in Knightsbridge, London.
