Buro Happold will design the buildings services and structure for the Dyson School of Design Innovation in Bath.
The school is the brainchild of vacuum cleaner magnate James Dyson and is intended to nurture the next generation of engineers, designers and inventors. The low-energy building will feature passive ventilation and will make use of thermal mass to reduce heating and cooling requirements. The adjacent River Avon may be used to pre-cool ventilation air in summer.
