Ex-Manchester United football stars Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville’s new Stock Exchange Hotel has taken a sensitive and heritage-led approach
The regeneration that has taken place in Manchester in recent years is widely known, but what is perhaps less broadly recognised is how much of that regeneration has been delivered from a rather unlikely source.
In the 2000s former England star Gary Neville was part of the so-called “golden generation” of football excellence, a time when the national team was wistfully charged with reclaiming World Cup glory. Equally, from the late 1990s until roughly the middle of this decade, Manchester United football club enjoyed its own golden era in which legendary midfielder Ryan Giggs played a key part.
