Budget of around £25m will pay for 45 apartments and a multi-storey car park
Developer Muse has been granted permission to start building a £350m scheme in the centre of Swindon.
The first phase of the development will see 45 assisted living apartments and an 850 space multi-storey car park built in Union Square.
Doug Finlay, development director at Muse, said: “This approval is a significant milestone for the project and will ensure a start on site in the late spring. The total build cost for this first phase is around £25m, which will bring much needed investment into the town.”
The plan has been supported by the Home and Communities Agency and Forward Swindon, the firm responsible for economic growth and development in the city.
