Gardiner security has completed a series of changes to its logistics operations to keep the supply and delivery of its 15,000-plus product lines in keeping with its 2003 Supply Chain Excellence programme.
Gardiner’s 50 branches comprise more than 70,000 sq ft of stock and trade counter space.

Last year the trunking of branch product was brought in-house and Gardiner began operating its own fleet of 18-tonne Scanias to deliver into the network.

Operations director Peter O’Toole commented: “Moving this away from third party carriers has given us greater control, door-to-door, and has allowed us to start using roll cages which give us faster, safer handling and zero damage or loss to products in transit.”
