Brightoned up: This design by housing association CDHA is one of two to reach the final stage of a design competition for the redevelopment of a former barracks in Brighton. The architect for the CDHA scheme is Broadway Malyan. Urban Catalyst was the other finalist. The Preston Barracks site will be redeveloped to include 260 homes, 110 of them affordable, a health centre, shops and cafes. A developer will be appointed in March.
