The CIBSE CHP Group is organising a one-day conference on 29 November 2005 to look at the role of biofuels in combined heat and power.
This combination has the potential to be a leading renewable solution for many buildings. Changes proposed for Part L of the Building Regulations and planning guidance are encouraging at least 10% of CHP/renewables in new buildings, while renewables are also becoming more viable options in existing buildings, particularly when combined with CHP.
The event will include a number of case studies, ranging from the use of willow coppicing in Northern Ireland to cattle slurry in Devon, and the focus will be on the design and implementation of engineering solutions now available.
The cost of the day will be £170 plus VAT for CIBSE members, £250 plus VAT for others. For further details, or to book, contact the Events Department on 020 8772 3614 or e-mail jsinfield@cibse.org
