The collapse of a second crane within three months in New York resulted in the death of one construction worker and seriously injured two others.

The incident prompted UK body the Strategic Forum to offer its help to officials in New York. The forum’s Tower Crane Group, which was set up last year, comprises crane operators, employers and workers.
