Project management firms such as Bechtel, Fluor Daniel, Bovis Lend Lease and Mace are expected to bid to oversee the construction needed if London wins the 2012 Olympics.
Client the London Development Agency has posted a document on its website looking for a programme manager. It says the winner would oversee the construction programme, called the Olympic Delivery Authority.
The role would include: the pre-Olympic construction phase, from when the schemes needed receive planning permission to their completion; the Olympics Game phase, which includes rehearsals running up to 2012; and the legacy construction phase, when temporary facilities are removed or transformed.
Bidders are required to respond to the questionnaire by 20 May 2005.
