Currie & Brown boss Wood joins wave of exits to join rival

The Currie & Brown director in charge of the £400m BBC Broadcasting House job has quit the firm to join rival Gardiner & Theobald.

QS News can reveal that London director Wood, who has been at the firm for 19 years, will leave today and start his new role at G&T on Monday. A statement from C&B confirmed he would be pursuing "new challenges outside Currie & Brown".

Wood joins a long line of departures from the firm in the last year, which most recently included chairman Angus McLean and operations director David Murray.

The C&B statement said Wood's project director role on the BBC HQ job would now be taken by director Martin Taylor, who has been with the firm for 12 years. "He brings a wealth of commercial, best practice experience and knowledge to the role," the statement said.
