10:10AM New height legislation comes into play with mixed-use project

Baillie Knowles Partnership was the QS on a scheme in north west London which has taken advantage of new planning rules. The £2m residential and retail scheme at 328 Kilburn High Road near Brondesbury Station reflects recent changes in legislation which allow higher density building near transport hubs. The scheme was designed by BPR Architects, which developed the masterplan with Network Rail for developer Globeplan. The project team included engineer Radha Consultancy, consulting engineer Jenkins and Potter, party walls surveyor Rickard Eastment, building services consultant Foreman Roberts and contractor West Green Construction.
