Aren’t windows mostly white?

This month we find ourselves between exhibitions – Glassex in March (see p67), and the second Glass Processing & Technology exhibition, 17-19 May (see p48).

On the horizon, the proposal for the Energy Ratings system used with white goods (fridges, etc.) to become a Part L compliance criterion for windows has far-reaching implications (see p20).

If we can separate the ‘hard vs soft coat’ debate from the good case to avoid tiny windows, we may well have a scheme that is popular with the consumer and very good for the industry.
