The ECA’s top apprentice electricians were praised for their hard work, determination and outstanding achievements at the Association’s 2004 Apprentice Awards ceremony. The winner of the ECA gold medal was Nicholas Bloore (second from left) of NG Bailey & Co (Southampton), he received a cheque for £750.

Completing a clean sweep, the silver and bronze medals went to Anthony Cripps (far right) and Daniel Conway (far left), employed by NG Bailey in its Reading and Birmingham offices respectively.

Presenting the awards, ECA president Tony Morgan said: “As an industry we invest heavily in training our apprentices and these ECA awards are a true recognition of the hard work of the candidates involved. I am sure everyone will join me in congratulating the winners for their excellent efforts and wishing them every success in their future careers.”

The ECA Apprentice Awards are based on the City & Guilds 236 Part II Theory, 2351 Knowledge of Electrical Installations and the 236 Electrical Installation Work C course examinations.
