Legion Group plc one of the country’s leading providers of security guarding – has announced the appointment of Daniel Atkinson as managing director. Daniel joined the Legion Group Board as a non-executive director last May. He was formerly joint managing director of the John Blackburn Group. Prior to that, 35-year-old Atkinson served as financial director at the Pavilion Group. He’s a qualified chartered accountant, and has recently completed an MBA at Leeds Business School.

First Security the specialist City guarding contractor has appointed Russell Smith to the newly created position of director of Human Resources (HR) with direct responsibility for all strategic personnel issues relating to the company’s 1,800 employees. Russell has worked in the HR function for 16 years, including over four years at Geest. More recently, Smith (who has a business studies degree from Liverpool University) served as interim HR director for Gillette.

G4S Security Services (UK) has announced the appointment of Angus Wilson as head of sales (retail). Angus will now assume responsibility for increasing awareness of G4S’ capabilities in the retail sector, and adding clients to a portfolio that already includes Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Iceland and Waitrose. He joins from his previous role as key account manager at Chubb Security Personnel.

PAC one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of integrated access control solutions has promoted Steve Tickle to national sales manager. 39-year-old Tickle brings over 15 years security industry experience to the position, the last seven of which he has spent at PAC (part of Stanley Security Solutions). Having joined as regional sales manager for the South West and London, Steve was placed in charge of PAC’s operations in South East Asia two years ago, working on the Bangkok International Airport project.

Two new appointments at security clothing and apparel specialist Prima Corporate Wear are the direct result of increased growth for the company. Customer services manager is Tina Clausen, previously customer services manager at Heineken (UK) with experience in both the transport and logistics sector. Supporting Tina is key account manager Silvia Gouws. Immediately prior to joining Prima, Silvia served as customer services manager at the British Airways London Eye.

LiLin – the CCTV and digital recording concern has appointed David Loveridge as logistics manager. In his new role, Loveridge will be responsible for supply chain management and warehouse operations. Previously at Belkin, David also spent over eight years at Concord Logistics as contracts manager. He’ll be based at LiLin’s Davy Avenue headquarters in Milton Keynes.

CCTV solutions provider Videotec has recently appointed Bob Groom as sales manager for the UK and Ireland tasked with developing both existing and future end user business. Bob joins from Sanyo, where he was involved in the sales and marketing operations for various CCTV products.

Continued success at Dallmeier a leading developer and manufacturer of digital CCTV solutions has led to the expansion of the company’s project engineering team. The most recent addition is former BWS Security Systems supervisor Colston Vaughan as project technician. Colston brings over 25 years’ experience to the role. At BWS, he was involved in the provision of technical support for engineers, customer and engineer training and installation projects.


Telindus – the technology-focused secure network solutions and services provider has promoted James Walker to head of innovation. Walker’s remit at Telindus is to determine market trends, assess new technologies (and the specialist services required to support them) and assist end user clients with the progression of their technology and business development strategies. Walker who joined the company in 2004 – previously served as mobility solutions specialist looking at the security of mobile working.

Award-winning unshielded twisted pair (UTP) secure transmission specialist Network Video Technologies (NVT) has appointed Bandini Devalia to the role of strategic marketing manager. Bandini’s new role will see her work alongside clients in the UK and Europe.

COE Group the developer and supplier of advanced video surveillance systems has announced the appointment of Stephen Allott as chairman. Allott has a strong track record in the technology industry, having held the positions of president, chief financial officer and main Board director at Micromuse.

Genie CCTV has strengthened its commercial team with the appointment of Barry Podd as sales manager for the Midlands region. Based in Nuneaton, Barry brings a proven track record to the CCTV solutions provider. Previously, he served as national accounts manager at Hitachi CCTV products with responsibility for sales in the UK and Ireland.IT
