1 Alan Flood
Flood has been appointed as new managing director for Galliford Try Investments, having previously occupied the division’s general manager role.
He brings more than 30 years’ experience to the job. There has been two further promotions within the division. Andrew Richards is now deputy managing director and Peter Cossins is operations director.
2 John Williams
Pinsent Masons has expanded its construction and engineering group with the appointment of Williams as a senior associate. He has joined the Leeds office having previously worked in the same city with rival firm Watson Burton where he headed up the construction team. An expert in construction law, Williams is also a visiting lecturer on Leeds Metropolitan University’s MSc course in Construction Law and Arbitration.
3 Graham Williamson
Williamson is the new business development manager at Kier Building Maintenance. Williamson – who will be based in Luton – will handle Kier’s drive for more housing refurbishment and public sector work. Williamson has worked for more than 20 years in sales and marketing for the construction industry, much of it involving concrete and building fabric refurbishment. He will be working with other Kier companies to co-ordinate all its public sector housing refurbishment and planned maintenance work, stretching from the Wash down to the south coast.
4 Andy Parton
As Tamdown Group’s new commercial director, Parton will oversee the firm’s expansion. Tamdown remediates and installs groundworks, infrastructure and concrete frames on some of the country’s largest development sites. Parton, who was previously commercial director for Taylor Woodrow, will develop new business as well as managing the firm’s surveying, estimating and buying divisions.

Steve Hannah is the new commercial representative at Rhodar. The firm provides asbestos management and removal services throughout the UK.
Colin Crombe is the new regional director at Redrow Homes (Scotland). He has been with the company for three years, latterly as operations director.
M&E specialist Balfour Kilpatrick has made three appointments. Gordon Galletly is promoted to regional director of its west region operations, while David Swinburne is now supply chain and procurement manager and Bob Hughes has been hired as innovation and technology manager.
The Edinburgh office of Thomas and Adamson has named Scott Castle as a new associate. He is currently managing the City of Edinburgh Council’s National Sports Strategy as well as Standard Life’s new data centre.
