Colin Walters – general manager of Remote Video Response (RVR) – is to assume responsibility for developing Chubb Electronic Security’s CCTV proposition in the newly-created post of head of video systems.
Guarding contractor VSG has announced the appointment of Simon Reeves as the company’s Human Resources director. Reeves joins after a nine-year spell in Human Resources at National Car Rental (NCR).
The AFC Group has appointed Gordon Brady as director of UK operations. During 17 years with Initial Security, Gordon progressed from being a security officer through various roles that led to senior management posts as regional and branch manager for the North of England. Brady was previously UK retail director for the Wigan-based security contractor.
Reliance Security Services has made a number of key Board appointments. Ian Foster is the new operations director for the southern region, having joined the company back in 1996. Operations director for the northern region is Chris Burnell, the former technical director at BSG Autolease who has spent the past five years as commercial director of Reliance’s Patrol Net business. The new London region operations director is Mark Tuckwell, who has previously held senior sales and business development roles at BET and NTL. In addition, Sandra Burrell is now director of the Patrol Net mobile response business.
Synectics – the advanced CCTV matrix switching, digital recording and control equipment specialist – has reinforced its customer support team with the addition of Natalie Simpson as sales and marketing assistant at its UK head office in Sheffield.
Leading Internet Protocol-based digital video surveillance solutions provider March Networks has expanded its UK sales team, which is led by UK and Ireland vice-president Michael Rack. Jamie Barnfield and Martin Cowley join the company as sales managers, while Ian Dickinson is customer services manager.
Vision Fire and Security has appointed Julius Klein Molekamp as regional sales executive for its ADPRO CCTV solutions. Julius boasts a degree in electronic design, and has worked in several sales and service engineering roles within the video sector. He also holds a law degree, and has gained practical experience in penal law.
Genie CCTV – a specialist in the supply of CCTV camera systems and accessories for end users – has just promoted sales manager Simon Green to the position of sales director. Simon, who has been with the company for nearly four years, will now assume all strategic sales responsibilities across the UK and Ireland. He’ll also be providing technical support and training to his sales team.
One of Europe’s largest security systems integrators has appointed Graham Jones as its next chief operations officer. Jones joined Integralis in 2001, and has served as UK and US operations director. He now takes on responsibility for the day-to-day country operations, as well as support and development operations. Added to that, Jones will oversee Integralis’ long term strategy as it takes on more of a manufacturer’s profile.
Paxton Access – one of the leading designers and manufacturers of electronic access control systems – has now expanded its field sales team with the appointment of Nick Swift as field sales engineer for the North East. Nick joins from Initial Fire and Security, where his career in the security sector began as an installation engineer on access control, intercoms, CCTV and intruder alarm systems. Three years ago, Nick was appointed branch sales surveyor, promoting all aspects of security to end users.
The Board of Vigilant Technology – the AIM-listed designer and supplier of sophisticated, intelligent solutions for the high end CCTV surveillance market – has appointed Ofer Bar-ner and Oshri Shilo to its Board as non-executive directors. Bar-ner – currently finance director of the Israeli, FTSE-listed company BATM Advanced Communications – has over 13 years’ experience in the technology sector, having been president of Telco Systems and CFO at Silver Arrow. Shilo is corporate financial controller at Advanced Vision Technology.
Sound and visual signalling concern Klaxon Signals has appointed Peter Jennings as its new financial controller. Peter began his financial career with Deloitte Touche, qualifying with the company as an ACA in 1990. He then went on to work as the deputy financial controller for Chronicle Newspapers, as finance manager at McGregor Cory and as financial controller with Dunlop Hiflex Fluidpower. He joins the company from Countrywide Inns – part of the Provence Group – where he served in the same capacity.
ArmorGroup International – the provider of defensive, protective security solutions and security training services – has announced the appointment of Paul Ciszewski as general director of ArmorGroup Eurasia. He will be responsible for Russia and the Eurasia Region, reporting directly to Noel Philp.
