RLF appoints first female partner
RLF has appointed Dorothy Robertson as partner at its Glasgow office. Dorothy is the first female employee to have achieved this title in the firm’s 100 year history. “I consider becoming a partner to be a great achievement, both professionally and personally,” she said. “There are very few female partners within the industry, and as a woman you can sometimes feel that you need to prove yourself 20 times over.”
Dorothy joined RLF ten years ago as Surveyor from Fitzsimmons, where she began in 1987 as a graduate trainee.
PCM safety welcomes consultant
Jay Vadhia has joined pcm safety as health & safety consultant at the Clerkenwell office, London. He has spent five years in the industry and has site-based, consultancy and planning supervision experience. He previously worked for RLF, Shepard Construction and Birse Build.
Two new associates at Oxbury
Oxbury & Company has appointed two new associate directors at its expanding Chelmsford office. The affordable housing procurement and project management specialist has promoted chartered surveyors Jo Loveday and Geoff Gardiner, considerably strengthening the Essex-based team.
Loveday is moving from Oxbury’s Norwich Head Office to run the Chelmsford branch. Prior to her four years at Oxbury she spent four years at John Laing Construction as a quantity surveyor.
Gardiner joined Oxbury in November 2004 and has previously worked for Sanctuary Housing Association, RG Carter, Anglia Secure Home and Dencora Homes.
Galliford Try adds PM trio
Contractor Galliford Try has appointed three new project managers: Richard Chalmers from Furlong Homes, David Wright who previously worked at Rooff and former Kajima staffer John Harmer.
