Ridge takes on five
Ridge has appointed several new members to its team. Phe Yianni joins as a QS in Bristol and Bal Purewal as a project manager in Reading. Karl Grover also joins Reading, as a building surveyor, while Alix Gilmer and Debby Brown join as building surveyors in Oxford.
Hills adds future chairman
Cost consultancy W T Hills has promoted managing director Malcolm Arnell to chairman as from August 2006, for a two-year period. The company has also awarded directorships to Robert Cleaver, in Cardiff, and Andrew Hill, in London.
BYL names director
BYL Consultancy Services has appointed David Rundle to regional director in the Faculty of Building for south-east England. Rundle, previously the chief executive of the company, will now assume responsibility for developing the faculty with the aim of improving the built environment.
Two new roles at EC Harris
EC Harris in Poland has promoted Marcin Klammer to country manager. Marcin has been with the company for eight years and has played a key role in several Polish offices.
Meanwhile, Andy Johnson has joined EC Harris in the UK as an associate in the North East, to strengthen the company’s motor retail division.
Cheesman joins Concept
Martin Cheesman has joined Concept as a specialist in healthcare project management. He will be based in the firm’s Nottingham office and his key role will involve handling the £14.5m Mary Potter Joint Access Centre project as well as working on other healthcare initiatives.
