1 Gordon Anderson
New regional operations director for Bovis Lend Lease in Scotland. He’ll manage all the contractual aspects of the company’s work there and run the Glasgow business. He takes over from Harry Thorburn, who is now leading Bovis’ project audit team.
2 Michelle Bowe
Bovis Lend Lease’s new occupational health manager. She joined Bovis Lend Lease from BAA’s Terminal 5 project at Heathrow Airport, bringing specialist knowledge and experience that will help the company to strengthen its occupational health services, both to its own employees and contractors.
3 Francis Mallia
MDA Consulting’s new associate director, and secret weapon for the hotel sector. He came from Rocco Forte Hotels, where he was responsible for the construction and technical lease agreement of Rocco Forte’s new developments.
4 Simon Newsholme
This seasoned developer joins Tilfen Land as development director. He’ll oversee the £80m White Hart Triangle, the Tripcock Point housing project, and the 600,000 ft2 East Thamesmead Business Park. Simon was previously development director at JJ Gallagher.
5 Martin Sandford
Lovell’s new regional training adviser for the North West. He joins from Premier Homecare North Wales where he headed up the training department. In his new role, based at the Lovell regional office in Altrincham, Martin is responsible for training and people development across the company’s North-west region.
6 Mark Gregory
Twigden Homes’ new Finance Director. He comes from Mount Anvil and, previously, Wilson Connolly where he worked for five years as group financial controller and finance director.

David Maloney becomes non-executive director of Carillion. Maloney, 50, has held senior positions with Virgin Mobile Holdings, Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts, Thomson Travel Group and Avis Europe. Mick O'Farrell, managing director of Allison Homes, is now managing director of Kier Residential. Social Housing contractor, United House, has taken on three new board members: Paul Nicholls comes from the Housing Forum 2002 to the new post of strategic relations director; Paul Samways is promoted to commercial director and mechanical engineer Alistair Sivill is appointed technical director. Finally, Anglo Holt Construction has also made a raft of appointments to the board. Andy Hall, Carl Sheppard and Tony Wehby have all become directors.
