Last month Willmott Dixon took on 25 management trainees from college and university who it plans to groom as senior managers of tomorrow. The trainees have an average age of 22 and possess a combined total of 55 A-levels. Those from college will spend four years combining day-release tuition with site management work as they study for a degree in either quantity surveying or construction management, and the post-graduate trainees will do a two-year management course. The trainees include three graduates with non-construction degrees who are taking a special CIOB diploma to give them a required standard of industry knowledge and practice. The trainees are pictured here with chief operating officer Rick Willmott and human resources head Chrissie Chadney.
