Building and restoration specialist Linford has strengthened its team with five new appointments.

Neil Walters

Walters has been appointed to the new role of managing QS. He will be responsible for managing the Linford surveying function.

Andrea McManus

McManus has been appointed as design and build co-ordinator.

Darren Beavan

Beavan has been appointed as group health and safety manager. The new role will see him working with both headquarters and on-site employees across the Midlands and North West.

Suzanne Broderick

Broderick is the latest addition to the business development team.

Robert Pearson

Special projects manager Pearson will be involved in all Linford’s major projects, including the £10.6m construction project on John Rylands Library in Manchester.

Mark Bloomfield

Bloomfield has joined Taunton-based construction and development firm A&H Gadd. His arrival makes the Quantity Surveying team at Gadd one of the largest of any construction firm in the area.

Claire Hall

Lovell has appointed Hall as its new regional training advisor for the Midlands. She joins the company from Shropshire Chamber and Business Link where she was a workforce development advisor.

Adrian Harper

Construction company Bluestone has appointed Harper as its new area director for its Oxford operation. He joins from his previous role as director of Wessex Property Services.

Stephen Marshall

Also at Bluestone, and Marshall has been named commercial manager at the Leeds office. With 36 years’ experience of managing commercial, industrial and leisure developments for national contractors, Marshall brings extensive construction experience to the post.

The Construction Confederation has appointed Phil Murphy as director of European Affairs. Murphy joins the Construction Confederation after four years at the Advertising Association.

Robin Holdsworth has been appointed executive secretary of CONSTRUCT, the Concrete Structures Group. He replaces Colin Cleverly, who has retired having been executive secretary since the formation of CONSTRUCT in 1993. Cleverly continues to be company secretary of the Concrete Bridge Development Group.

Buro Happold’s Disability Design Consultancy has appointed Richard Kuppusamy as a senior access consultant.

Developer Milford Group has announced a number of key new appointments. Steven Knott has been promoted to director, land and sales; Ben Gillham is now commercial director and Chris Dawes becomes group managing director. In addition, the commercial department, led by Gillham, has two new staff members and the Land team has an extra in-house architect.

Charter Architects has appointed Eric Sey as a main board director.

A new senior contracts manager has joined the Norwich office of Kier Eastern. David Sexton, 45, has returned to the office where he previously worked as contracts manager.
