Douglas Greenwell has been appointed marketing director at security solutions provider Securicor Security. Prior to his new role, Douglas was head of product development at the Securicor Group for three years, and had also spent two years at American Express as strategic product manager. Douglas will now help to steer Securicor Security through the current and ongoing legislative changes.
The industrial products division at CCTV specialist JVC Professional (Europe) has a new product manager. Mark Lusby will assume responsibility for co-ordinating the introduction of new products into the European market as well as managing existing product lines. Following experience in the video industry, Mark joined JVC in 1990 as a technical support engineer, taking on the role of exhibitions manager in 1996.
Baxall, one of the country's leading manufacturers of CCTV equipment, has appointed David Cliffe as its new finance director. A graduate in economics and a fully-qualified chartered management accountant, David comes from a pharmaceutical background, having worked for ICI and (more recently) Solvay – where he was the financial controller.
The £66 million turnover Securiplan Group has announced a series of changes to the composition of its Board of Management. Paul Collis becomes managing director of Securiplan's corporate and systems divisions, while Caroline Demoulpied takes on the role of group sales and marketing director. At the same time, the managing director of Securiplan Retail – Steve Boyden – joins the Group Board. Paul Collis has been with Securiplan since 1998, and will now concentrate on developing truly integrated security solutions for end users.
CCTV concern Synectics has expanded its sales team with the appointment of an area sales manager. Following substantial growth of the company's ranges of advanced CCTV video matrix switching, control, telemetry and digital recording equipment, Michael Gallagher has been recruited to sustain an enhanced level of support for the company's end user customer base.
Secure packaging specialist Mercury Packaging has announced the appointment of John Marks as export sales director. Prior to joining Mercury, John worked at the Britton Group handling the international sales of security packaging products. Items in Mercury's growing range of SAS security bags are used to secure transport valuables such as cash, cheques, credit slips and confidential documents.
Nortech Control Systems has just expanded its sales and marketing team to accommodate continued growth in the access control arena. Barbara Southall joins the team as sales and marketing co-ordinator, taking over from Sian Evans (who moves on to the role of internal account manager). Barbara and Sian will continue to report to business development manager Mike Davies (left).
To support and develop a rapidly growing presence in the UK CCTV retail and commercial markets, the Zoom CCTV Group has announced that Les Andrew – formerly business development manager with Panasonic's UK CCTV division – now takes on the post of sales and marketing director. Les is set to concentrate on developing Zoom's capabilities in the fields of IP and digital surveillance.
IndigoVision, the live networked video technology company, has appointed Elliott Mueller as its new president of worldwide sales. Formerly chief executive officer at Liberty Broadband, IP video specialist Elliott joins the executive team to support IndigoVision's drive for deeper penetration into the European and American markets, and to open up new markets like that in Asia.
CCTV specialist Video Controls Ltd (VCL) – part of the electronic security systems manufacturer Ademco International's group of companies – has recruited more members of staff at its southern office in High Wycombe to help improve the delivery of both surveillance and access control solutions. Natalie Sasso has joined VCL as new business developer. Working alongside junior account manager Ed Smith, both will report to sales manager Neil Killick.
Following on from what proved to be a highly successful IFSEC Exhibition for the company, DVTel has announced the appointment of Emma Davies to the position of sales support manager for UK operations. Emma will work alongside David Petrook to further build DVTel's UK and Europe, the Middle East and African sales operations, overseeing sales support for both new and existing clients. Prior to her latest appointment, Emma served as facilities customer services manager for Dalkia ETS at the BG Group.
ADT Fire and Security has appointed Nicky Gill to the position of managing director for the company's Republic of Ireland operation. Nicky now assumes responsibility for the company's three Irish branches based in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
Trustix – the IT infrastructure solutions provider – has recruited Paul Walker to be technical sales manager for the UK. Paul's role will encompass dealing with all technical pre-sales enquiries from distributors, business partners and end users, both on and off site.
John Menzel has been promoted to the new position of director (product line management) for HID's iClass product line.
