Swaythling Housing Society of Southampton has appointed Manake Ndebele as a Positive Action Training Highway (PATH) trainee. He was previously a support worker for Pertemps, Porter and Moore, which provides social support.

Peter Stringer
Maidstone Housing Trust has appointed Peter Stringer chief executive. He was previously housing services manager at Maidstone Borough Council.

How did you get there?
“I went to catering college 13 years ago but decided it wasn’t for me and changed to office studies. Somehow, and I honestly don’t remember how, I became a housing clerk for Leicester Housing Association. That gave me the impetus to be a housing officer … and now I’m here.”
What do you enjoy most about your job?
“It’s never monotonous. I like different challenges and solving problems for people. And I really enjoy the interaction with residents, dealing with so many different people.”

I own a three-bedroom, semi-detached house.
