It was announced as we went to press that the Anglian Windows factory in Port Talbot is to close on April 22 with the loss of 64 jobs. Anglian had unsuccessfully sought grant funding from the Welsh Development Agency to prevent the closure. Following this, the closure was said to be ‘necessary in the light of reducing demand and overcapacity’.
