Concerning your coverage of this year’s Andy Ludlow Awards (28 May and 16 July): the London Housing Federation has nothing to do with the awards. In fact, they are sponsored by London Housing Foundation and the Homeless & Housing Support Directorate of the ODPM.

The housing division of the Association of London Government administers the awards on behalf of all the London boroughs, which also invest in the awards, not the ALG’s London housing unit as stated in the magazine. And Andy Ludlow was director of housing and social services in Haringey until his premature death in 1997. He did not work for Newham council.

Finally, to clarify the appointments made at the recent Association of London Government’s annual general meeting, Cllr George Meehan was re-elected chair of the London Housing Unit, while I was re-elected as chair of the ALG’s housing panel.
