Bewator’s V3i matrix is ideal for a wide range of applications, including airports, retail centres and town centre surveillance schemes
CCTV
Bewater has developed its V3i matrix to address the need for an analogue CCTV switching matrix with all the quality and performance of big modular systems, but with all the simplicity of an off-the-shelf switcher for ease of use.
Using technology which was developed by Bewator for a networked CCTV system serving Singapore’s sophisticated Mass Rapid Transit transport network, V3i is packed with user-friendly features (such as easy-to-perform system programming, on-screen diagnostics, VCR and DVR control and alarm handling).
Each V3i unit (32 inputs and eight outputs) works as a ‘building block’, and can be linked with other V3i units to form larger, distributed matrix systems. For example, thanks to a simple expansion cable it’s simplicity itself to connect two V3i units and form a full 64 x 16 matrix arrangement. Each unit is termed a node, and by connecting five 64 x 16 ISU nodes together it’s possible to create a 256 x 16 full cross-point matrix.
V3i may also be integrated with Bewator’s Granta security management system: as Granta monitors events on the access control system, commands via RS232 may be sent directly to the CCTV system without the need for any operator intervention.
