Integrated security specialist Bewater has launched an upgraded version of its highly successful Solaris dome camera. The most significant new feature is the ‘Back-Up/Restore' function, which allows the end user to back-up configuration settings from the camera head and store them within the external termination unit.

This allows for quick and easy replacement of the camera head or the termination unit without the need to manually re-programme all settings.

Solaris now boasts an optional 26x optical zoom lens which compliments the existing 18x version, with both options said to deliver "remarkable" low light capabilities.

An ‘auto flip' function has also been added, enabling the camera to track moving targets as they pass beneath the dome. This feature can easily be disabled/enabled as required.
