InCam Digital Surveillance has installed 25 Axis Communications network cameras for FFL Airline Catering services at its 10,000 square foot unit in Crawley.

FFL Limited managing director Mark Matthews said: “We must adhere with tight security measures which include keeping all food storage and preparation areas totally secure. Without the use of these Axis cameras to monitor key areas like our chiller and freezer units, we would have had to employ an extra member of staff just to act as a door man for these units.”

FFL also found that an additional benefit included the elimination of occasional diesel fuel thefts from its lorries while parked at the front of the unit. “The cameras act as a constant visual reminder that all security checks and procedures need to be adhered to at all times to ensure that we operate a secure and safe operation,” Matthews said. “The sensitivity of our privileged position as a caterer to airlines at Gatwick needs to be properly understood by all our staff. We have found it much easier to get the importance of security over to staff since the system went in.”
