Carrier has launched the 30XA Aquaforce range of chillers.

The large air-cooled chillers with screw compressors come in 20 sizes with capacities from 270 kW to 1.7 MW. In tests, the chillers achieved part load seasonal energy efficiencies of 4.5.

They use non ozone-depleting refrigerant HFC 134a and new micro-channel heat exchange coil technology, claimed to increase heat transfer efficiency.
