The Adeo Group is planning to double its turnover in two years from £2m to £4m.

Managing director Ian Brazier said he wanted to add 10 new people this year to the firm's existing staff of 37. This will be achieved at least partially through the group's in-house recruitment operation.

Adeo recently hired four people, including Ian Cox, who was freelancing for EC Harris. He joins as an area QS and will initially work three days a week before joining the firm full time.

Edward O'Neill, 26, joins as a QS from Morrison Facilities Services and Graham Nieuwoudt, 27, has relocated from Davis Langdon & Farrow Laing in South Africa to join the firm as an assistant QS.

Adeo has also taken on claims/contract manager Gary Paton to work on a project in Thailand.

The firm works mainly in the UK but has a one-man office in Melbourne, Australia. It is considering entering new sectors, including certain areas of the PFI and pharmaceuticals. It currently operates in civil engineering, commercial, education, healthcare, residential and retail.

The components of the group include Adeo Consulting, which offers QSing and project management, and Adeo Recruitment, which places construction professionals both internally and externally. The firm is headquartered in Billingshurst, Sussex.
