Abbseal (UK) Ltd announces that with immediate effect it has taken management control of the glass processing and merchanting operations of Norman & Underwood (Eastern) Limited, based at Kings Lynn in Norfolk. Abbseal’s owner, Epic Reconstruction, made the acquisition.

‘We feel this fusion of two of the most experienced and respected names in the UK glass industry represents an excellent opportunity for both the company and its customers.’ says Neil Butler, Business Development Director of Abbseal (UK) Ltd.

He continued: ‘Abbseal (UK)’s customers will benefit from the excellent production facilities available at Kings Lynn and the enhanced product range this now brings to the Group including glass distribution, cut sizes (both annealed and toughened) as well as a full range of acoustic and fire resistant glass types.’

Current Norman & Underwood (Eastern) customers will benefit from Abbseal’s enhanced DG unit production facilities across the UK ensuring the availability of an extensive range of glass types from all the major manufacturers, expert technical support for design and specification, and on time deliveries across the UK via an extensive fleet of specialist vehicles.

Abbseal operates from three branches: Hyde, Leeds and Peterborough. Neil Butler confirmed that there have been no casualties as a result of the acquisition. However, Abbseal has overall management control.
