Fast-growing consultant AA Projects is to open offices in Newcastle and Leeds. Both branches will be open by December and the company is currently recruiting staff for each office.

Stuart Denton, a former director at Gleeds, has been hired to head up Newcastle, while Laurence Harte, former estates director for Doncaster College, has been brought in to run Leeds.

The new openings come on the back of strong growth at the QS and project management company, which is on target for a steady increase in turnover. Its 2006/07 forecast is £3.8m, up from £3m for 2005/2006. The figures amount to an eight-fold increase in revenue since the firm was launched five years ago.

AA Projects currently employs 42 staff and plans to boost this up to 50 by early 2007. It launched with seven people.

Other recent recruits include Matthew Hirst, formerly of the Learning and Skills Council, who joins the AA Projects Education Strategic Consultancy team.
