An ‘entente cordiale’ between H G Kippax & Sons and Janbac-Baudin will see the UK company’s flat glass screen-printing machines distributed throughout the Francophone world – and the French firm’s drilling, edging and bevelling equipment sold here.

The two specialist manufacturers, known for many years in their complementary glass processing sectors, have signed a reciprocal sales agreement to broaden their respective geographical markets and provide more effective channels for their equipment on both sides of the Channel.

‘Linking our sales efforts makes perfect sense for both of us,’ says H G Kippax Managing Director, Bill Kippax. ‘We have each had a long and intensive involvement with the flat glass industry in our own countries whilst our respective machinery can be found working side-by-side throughout the world.

‘We believe that the Janbac-Baudin range of finishing equipment will be very welcome additions to our portfolio in the UK – and are confident that, with the pro-active support of our new partner, our printing machines will find a ready audience in France and other French-speaking countries.’

Kippax has been designing and producing machines for architectural, automotive and decorative glass printing for nearly 40 years and claims to be the only UK screenprint press manufacturer custom-building for the glass industry. Its 100-plus machines in the field range in size from 1,000mm x 650mm right up to 4,800mm x 2,550mm – and can be built as large as 6,000mm x 3,300mm.

Janbac-Baudin is equally well known for its vertical edgers, double edge grinders and bevelling machines .
