New research from home improvement company Everest reveals that around 702,000 homeowners plan to buy a new conservatory over the next two years, spending over £3.51 billion in total.

According to Everest’s research, the main reason for building a conservatory is to have more space (47%), followed by the need to replace an existing one (14%) and to enjoy the garden more (6%).

In terms of the conservatories that are to be built, around 25% will be made of timber, 8% aluminium and 65% from PVC-U.

Everest, which offers a range of conservatories tailored to suit individual needs and style, is warning homeowners to be careful which company they choose to supply their new conservatory and has provided tips on what they should consider.

Duncan Bland, Marketing Director, Everest said: ‘When considering installing a conservatory, it is important to look for well-established companies and to ask for references. A little extra spent on a quality conservatory will save you hundreds of pounds in the long run through reduced heating bills and no maintenance.’

Everest is promoting its high performance Heatlok sealed units, and of course the Everest Price Promise: if the customer finds a lower price for the same conservatory within seven days of placing your order, it will refund the difference.
