The “selfless bravery” of Muhammad Khalil a G4S Security Services (UK) officer who was on duty close by King’s Cross Station in London on 7/7 has won him the 2006 Sheriffs’ Award (run by The Company of Security Professionals).

Muhammad raced to the scene of the terrorist attack and, in the chaos of people trying to escape from the blast, quickly assessed the situation before using his First Aid training to help those most in need of attention.

Muhammad then entered the King’s Cross tunnel network and, without any regard for his own safety, assisted passengers to escape while also tending to the injured and dying. He remained underground for over seven hours.

Muhammad received his award from David Brewer Lord Mayor of the City of London and a former Sheriff at The Company of Security Professionals’ Annual Dinner, held on 17 October at Mansion House.
