Consortium including Davis Langdon plans eco-friendly housing scheme for Merton

A consortium including QS Davis Langdon has been selected as preferred bidder for a housing scheme in Merton, part of the government's £60,000 competition.

The SIXTYK Consortium, which also includes housebuilder Crest Nicholson, architect Sheppard Robson manufacturer Kingspan Century and engineer Arup, plans 227 houses and apartment in a converted school site in south London.

The scheme will include combined heat and power plants, the use of super efficient mechanical ventilation and the use of photovoltaic cells which can generate up to 10% of the energy the site will need.
