Consultant will provide cost planning services on 23km suburban line
Global consultant Turner and Townsend has won a contract to provide cost planning services on a suburban rail link in Sydney, Australia.
The North West Rail Link involves the construction of 23km of heavy rail passenger line in the north-west suburbs of the city.
It includes the construction of two 15kn tunnels, at least six new stations and a new train stabling facility at the North-western end of the route.
Darren Munton, director of Turner & Townsend Australia, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the North West Rail Link contract by the Department of Transport in New South Wales, following a competitive tender process.
