Pipe and sanitary systems manufacturer Polypipe has successfully completed the acquisition of Terrain Drainage, producers of above ground drainage for use in commercial applications.
Polypipe, with over 2,800 employees, already manufactures a wide range of plastic piping and sanitary systems for the residential and commercial sectors, and the deal will significantly strengthen its position in the commercial piping systems market.
David Hall, CEO of Polypipe said: “The company has already made its presence felt in the commercial market with a number of products launched for commercial applications. With the acquisition of the Terrain brand, Polypipe can significantly expand its presence”.
The Terrain Drainage portfolio includes Terrain Soil and Waste PVC systems, Terrain HDPE and the recently launched specialist system Terrain Acoustic dB12. Its products will continue to be manufactured at its facility in Aylesford, Kent.
