Shortlist unveiled for this year’s awards ceremony

Building awards at Grovesnor House

Google headquarters builder Lendlease, architect Foster + Partners and the scheme to build the new Design Museum are all on the shortlist for this year’s Building Awards, announced today.

Projects that made the list range from the Tate Modern extension on London’s Bankside to an airport extension in Oslo.

A number of firms have multiple nominations this year, including former Stirling prize-winning architect AHMM, consultant Aecom, and Graham Construction. New categories for 2017 are the Digital Efficiency Initiative of the Year and the Off-site Project of the Year.

Other categories include the CEOs’ CEO of the Year award and the Building Magazine Woman of the Year. The event takes place on 7 November at the Grosvenor House hotel in central London.
